Employment Assistance Program

Objective:
Deliver employment service for clients and communities such as counseling, placement and referral activities through organizations in the community.

Eligible Sponsors:
Aboriginal Bands, organizations and aboriginal small businesses and/or corporations.

Eligible Clients:
Service offered are open to all aboriginal persons within the ISETS service area. Examples of specific clientele would include Employment Insurance claimants, social assistance recipients, women and persons with disabilities.

Services Available:
These services are Outreach type activities. All Employment Services programs are client centered and aimed at assisting those clients to play an active role in assessing their employment difficulties and finding solutions to resolving those issues. Activities may include liaison with HRCC offices related to Employment Insurance clients. Proposals may include labor market research projects, specialized training initiatives, Job Search information, Job finding clubs, and career counseling.

Financial Assistance:
Sponsor delivery costs negotiable. This may include cost for administrative staff and overhead costs.

Note: The ISETS Board of Directors encourage all applicants of their programs, to seek financial resources other than the ISETS funds that area available, as well as consider employer contribution whenever possible.
